Abstract
This thesis investigates how clusters of information from core logging data can be translated
into digital representations that support useful, efficient, and meaningful computer-supported
collaboration within a specific organizational context. Using a user-centered and iterative design process, the work was carried out in close collaboration with employees who interact with core logging data as part of their daily tasks. Through the development of low- and high-fidelity prototypes, followed by implementation in a web-based interface, the goal was to enable mediated communication within the core logging interface. Key design decisions were informed by theories of meaningful design and human-computer interaction. The final solution includes a commenting function, interactive data visualizations, and features tailored to user needs. The results indicate that integrating communication tools into existing workflows enhances usability and contributes to a stronger sense of relevance and meaning in everyday work.
